Ribbon, Tape, Cord Yarn

To images what is a cord is easy. But what is the difference between ribbon and tape? At the first glance, there is no difference, but when we checked these terms in the textile encyclopedia - there is a difference! Ribbon yarns are woven in the form of a ribbon, but tape is a yarn in a form of a tape with a large width-to-thickness ratio. Hm.
