A specific procedure refines the protein of the soya bean: When wet spun, soy proteins turn into extremely soft and light fiber, which resembles Silk. 100% Soy Silk Ribbon (width - 4.5mm) is not only exceptionally soft and eco-friendly yarn for hand knitting, but it also has a beautiful Natural Cream or Champagne colour. Other than having cashmere-like handle, soysilk is naturally and permanently bacteria resistant, similarly to bamboo fiber. Soybean silk has also an excellent colour fastness. Handpaints are crafted by Makalu Yarns' dye artist in Canada.
