This linen is great for crochet, ply knitting, or for combination with another yarn. Since the flax plant is naturally resistant to pests, linen can be considered as naturally organic and it is usually worn next to the skin for more than ten thousand years. The thinner the linen yarn the better quality is the finished garment. For cellulosic yarns, the maximum absorbency, softness and smoothness can be achieved only if they are spun in fine weights. The best quality linen yarn is suitable to be knitted on 2.75 - 3.5 mm needles. You can definitely ply Linen 100 to make it knitted on a larger size needles. Please use a several strands - your clothing will retain all the benefits of the original fine yarn.
