Katia Greta is a fashionable, trim-effect ribbon yarn (width: 2cm), which is designed and intended to be knit the same way as a frill tape or scarf yarn: it has loops along its top edge for knitting or crochet. A fine metallic chain is attached to its bottom edge. This yarn is suitable for making refined embellishing details on your finished garments and accessories, including eveningwear. It can also be used as a scarf yarn. Lanas Katia Greta is manufactured in solid colours.

Materials: 2 balls Greta, 1 ball Kiss, crochet hook 1.75 mm (US7). Techniques: advanced single crochet, double crochet, fringe. Instructions: Using the edge with metallic thread at the bottom, skipping the 1st and the last loops and using Kiss, work over opposite plain edge of a Greta strip as follows: row 1 - 2 sc in each loop across, row 2 - DC in each sc across, row 3 - DC in each dc across. Fasten off and weave in all ends. Joining strips: With a wrong side of the second Greta strip, over beginning of double crochet row of first strip and using Kiss, work as follows: Insert hook into a loop on second Greta strip, insert hook into double crochet st on first strip, and make 2 sc in each loop across. Fasten off and weave the ends. Make a small hem on the skipped loops at each end and sew in place. Fringe: Using Kiss, cut 40 strands, 35 cm (13 3/4") long. Use 10 strands for each group. Insert 2 groups over crocheted center part at each end of scarf.
