Titus is a superior quality natural blend of Yorkshire Wool and UK Alpaca with the feel, fluffiness, and slightly lustrous and velvety texture of undyed alpaca. Wensleydales have long, ringlet-like fleece which creates a fine, silky yarn with a soft and fuzzy 'halo'. This superb British Wool is manufactured in natural undyed and solid colours. This yarn is suitable for hand and machine knitting, and gossamer crochet. Expensive.
FYI • The Black Wensleydale is a rare breed. There are less than 88 black ewe lambs registered in UK. Their colour varies from Silver to Jet Black or Charcoal Grey • The first ever Wensleydale was call Bluecap and was born in 1839 in the hamlet of East Appleton, five miles from Bedale in North Yorkshire. The breed didn't get a name for 37 years until 1876, when it was required for classes it entered at the Yorkshire Show. - Reference: Ann Kingstone, Born & Bred Yorkshire Sheep.
