Estelle 100% Silk is a natural and pure silk bourette (noil) yarn in tweed and a few solid colours. Silk Bourette feels more like cotton than silk. As all silks, it is durable and comfortable in knitting and wearing, but it is softer than other kinds of silk. This yarn is great for summer knitwear. Solid colours and summer tweeds are especially manufactured for summer clothes: sweaters, tops and knitted accessories, the other tweeds are more suitable for cold weather knitwear. ♦ Noil is a short fiber, removed during the combing of a textile fiber and separately spun into yarn, its nature is not to be lustrous. ♦ Tussah silk has a wonderful feel and sheen. Naturally, it is in golden colour, and sold in 2-ply weight that makes it perfect for shawls.
