The most incredible blend on the yarn market: silky and soft Pima Tencel is an intimate blend of Peruvian Pima Cotton and Tencel (Lyocell). It looks luxuriously and feels like Cotton - Silk blend but costs 50% less, drapes amazingly, durable and very pleasant to the skin. Tencel, Viscose or Rayon is often called "fake silks" (they are all made of wood pulp). All seasons yarn.
* Pima Cotton is a fine, long staple cotton (premium grade cotton), originally derived by crossing American and Egyptian species. It is named for Pima County in Arizona.

* What is Tencel? Lyocell is a fibre made from wood pulp cellulose as well as Viscose and Rayon. It was first manufactured in 1988 by Courtaulds Fibres UK at their pilot plant S25. The only current manufacturer in the United States is Lenzing Inc, who market it under the trademarked brand name Tencel.
