Incredible 4 ply by Orkney Angora, made in Scotland Incredible 4 ply is a premium quality pure German angora yarn in 4 ply fingering /light sport weight. It has the same characteristics as Incredible DK: it is short-haired, silky and velvety to touch, unbrushed, millspun and hand-dyed in Scotland, has a low per cent of shedding, and is suitable for hand and machine knitting. This yarn is available in 36 hand-dyed solid and 12 hand painted colours. Island of Orkney is located in the North Sea (it is a neighbor archipelagoes to Fair Isle, Shetland and Faroe), where winters are severe and living without angora knitwear is impossible (it is 7 times warmer than sheep wool). The local people use angora not only for knitting sweaters and accessories, but also for making very thin angora underwear and medicinal articles (different types of warmers), and wear them next to the skin to protect themselves from the local cold. We use this yarn for athletic vests.
